Hello and welcome to Dr. Miranda’s private practice.
I am a clinical psychologist who specializes working with teens, young adults (ages 15 – 25 years old) and their families. Finding a therapist can be a difficult task. Parents might feel concerned about stigma, guilt or blame while adolescents and young adults may feel pathologized for the challenges they are working to confront. After more than 10 years of experience, I believe that therapy can be a truly transformative process. My aim is to listen to your concerns and support you as a whole person.
Over the past 10 years, I have worked with children, teens, young adults and their families at various points in their mental health. Working in several mental health settings has helped me better understand and develop strategies for challenges families face.
I’ve worked as a therapist in the Bay Area working with children as young as 5 years old who struggle with depression, anxiety, behavior problems, and learning difficulties. I completed my pre-doctoral internship at Children’s Hospital and Research Center in Oakland and my post-doctoral residency at Kaiser Permanente, Child and Family Psychiatry in Antioch. I have worked in other settings as well, including managed health care, community mental health, school based therapy at Bay Area high schools, residential treatment facilities, as well as the juvenile justice system.
Feel free to look over my website and outreach for a free 15 minute consultation to see if we would be a good match.
