Approach to Therapy

My approach to therapy is a collaborative one. Having a trusting and open relationship is central to the work that I do. I don’t have a one size fits all approach, instead I use various methods including, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, family systems, and behavioral therapy.

Although I am trained to treat most mental health conditions, I have worked with the following, as well as others:

  • ADHD
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Family conflict
  • Mood Disorders
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
  • Oppositional Defiance Disorder/Disruptive Behavior Disorder
  • Parenting Support
  • Peer Relationships
  • Racial, gender and sexual identity
  • School issues
  • Self-esteem
  • Trauma and PTSD
  • Transgender and non-binary youth
