Approach to Therapy

My approach to therapy is a collaborative, trauma informed, and LGBT+ affirming. Having a trusting and open relationship is central to the work that I do. I don’t have a one size fits all approach, instead I use various methods including, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, family systems, and behavioral therapy.

Although I am trained to treat most mental health conditions, I have worked with the following, as well as others:

  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Anxiety
  • Depression and mood disorders
  • Family conflict
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
  • Parenting support and consultation
  • Peer relationships
  • Gender and sexual orientation identity exploration
  • School and academic difficulties
  • Self-esteem
  • Trauma and PTSD
